This year has been a roller coaster ride for most of us but when the festive cheer knocks, all of us are trying our best to use most of the time left in 2020. While stepping out is still a potential danger, most of us had small house parties with our close friends and family as we rang in Christmas 2020.
And we bet your Christmas attires were bomb and you had a gala time. But, as we proceed to the next day and all that Christmas cheer is over, now it is time to get back to cleaning our houses, trying to remove our hangover, and of course make our skin ready for the New Year gathering.
All that glitter, eyeshadow, kajal, and foundation needs to be removed and you need to start taking care of your skin, especially during the winter months. After a night of partying and using makeup to the utmost, it’s time you give your skin the love and care it deserves.
So, if you are wondering how will you take care of your skin, here are a few tips!
Your face has already been put through a lot with the use of makeup on events. Hence, do not opt for a hard face wash to wash your face after a heavy makeup day. You should avoid using any hard soap or chemicals on your face. Try using a baby face wash for your skin and you will thank us later!
After a heavy makeup day, your face needs its due of moisturiser. Make sure after you gently wash your face and then proceed to apply moisturiser. You should also clean your face with a cleanser 2 or 3 times with cleanser and non-fragranced wet wipes.
Exfoliation is of utmost importance, especially after you have applied a lot of makeup on your face. You can use natural ingredients like besan or gram flour to exfoliate your skin. Make your own exfoliation pack by mixing half a teaspoon of semolina with a teaspoon of gram flour and a pinch of turmeric. Keep in an airtight container.
If you loved exfoliating your skin with besan, you should definitely try out some homemade face packs. you can use various ingredients from the kitchen including dahi, haldi, aloe vera, and make some great face packs at home.
The face pack ingredients will cool your face and make your skin ready for your next event.
Last but not the least, make sure you give your skin enough breathing space and go make up free for a few days before heading on to a heavy makeup day. In these days make sure you follow the above tips and give your skin the space it needs.
Apart from this make sure you remain hydrated and consume a balanced diet to get glowing and healthy skin.
