We have always loved how actresses skin glow and remain flawless even after using oodles of makeup and staying in dirt and heat for long hours. We try to follow their tips and tricks to achieve a skin just like them.
Today, we will be sharing with you the important tricks and tips shared by actress Madhuri Dixit on how to achieve glowing and flawless skin. Madhuri has her own YouTube channel and through that, she shares useful tips for her fans and friends. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at her skincare tips and tricks.
Madhuri feels that skincare is divided into two parts, external and internal. Internal is what you eat, as it affects your skin, and external is what all products you use.
For internal skincare, Madhuri suggests:
1. Drink lots of water.
Madhuri recommends at least 8 glasses of water every day.
2. Avoid oily stuff and sugary products.
Sugar and oily products can cause acne and even worsen it. The actress recommends eating lots and lots of veggies and fruits. Madhuri also suggests that instead of drinking juice, one can eat fruits as juice contains high sugar.
3. Maintain sleep cycle
Madhuri recommends at least 6-7 hours of good sleep. The actress feels stress and tension can cause wrinkles and signs of aging.

Madhuri recommends exercising daily as it helps in blood circulation which will make the skin glow.
For external skincare, Madhuri recommends:
1. No makeup before sleeping
Madhuri suggests that when one goes to sleep, there shouldn’t be any makeup on the face as it clogs the pores. Sleep with a clean face. All the dust and pollution of the day sits on the skin and it is advisable to wash your face properly and remove makeup before going to bed.
2. Use rose water as a toner
Madhuri recommends using rose water as a toner after washing the face at night. Or use toner which doesn’t contain alcohol.
3. Use of Vitamin C
Vitamin C is an antioxidant and helps in fading away the blemishes. It also helps the skin to glow. Use vitamin C at night after cleaning your face and apply moisturiser. Madhuri recommends using a moisturiser in circular motions. Always massage upwards. While cleaning, don’t forget to moisturise the neck and hands.
4. Wash your face after waking up.
5. Use SPF
When you use vitamin C serum at night, then use SPF the next day after washing your face. It will help from the sun’s ultraviolet rays. Madhuri feels that SPF is very important for the skin as it will help in the skin aging caused by the sun’s harmful rays.
Madhuri loves using facemasks and uses them once a week or twice a week.
For the first facemask, you will need powdered oats, honey, and rose water or milk. Take one tablespoon of each and mix well. Put the mixture on the face for 15-20 minutes and rinse it off with warm water. It helps in reducing puffiness and makes the skin soft.
For the second facemask, (for dry skin), you will need one teaspoon milk, one tablespoon honey, and one teaspoon aloe vera gel, and two drops of essential oils. Mix all the ingredients well, apply on the face, and keep it for 15 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water.
One quick tip by Madhuri: If your skin is feeling dull and you have an important event to attend, then take slices of cucumber, dip it in water and keep it in the fridge. Once it is cool, put the cucumber slices on your face and keep them for 10-15 minutes. Take it off and wash your face with cold water. Your skin will glow instantly.
